The Valley, Anguilla (February 20, 2017) – On Sunday, February 19, 2017, Dominion Faith Centre celebrated its sixth year on Anguilla. The beloved non-denominational church is covered by Covenant Ministry International of Faith Fellowship Ministry of New Jersey led by Pastor David T. Demola. Founded by Pastor Dexter Welcome and wife/co-pastor, Natasha Welcome, DFC first opened its doors at 10 p.m. on December 31, 2010 in an upstairs section of the Lake building just east of Digicel in The Valley. Within a few short years, the blossoming congregation sought – and found – a larger, more accessible building and is currently located downstairs of Scotiabank in the Fairplay Commercial Complex.

With the building filled to capacity, Sunday’s special service, the first of three, began with a soul-stirring praise and worship segment by the DFC Worship Team. After the official welcome by Pastor Jerome Harrigan, and scripture reading by Mrs. Karen Mussington, the celebration flowed effortlessly as Mr. Kasseem Forde moderated the programme. There were numerous items enjoyed during the course of the morning such as a selection by the DFC choir; a vibrant steel pan duet by Mrs. Vanessa Connor and Natalya Welcome, 12-year old daughter of the Welcomes; a solo by Ms. Kenesha Busby; a cake presentation by Ms. Rosanna Browne on behalf of the Anguilla Toastmasters Club; a video of DFC’s very first service on New Year’s Eve 2010; and a tribute by visiting Honourable Madame Justice Bernie Stephenson, who previously resided on Anguilla.

Pastor Dexter Welcome shared his heartfelt gratitude with the congregation and to the Anguillian community at large. Most importantly, he thanked God for His faithfulness and guidance over the past six years as DFC has grown and evolved significantly. First Lady Natasha Welcome shared the mission and vision: “The mission of Dominion Faith Centre is to use ministry to build people holistically for God’s kingdom by helping them to reach their God-given potential, and not using people to build ministry”. The vision encompasses empowerment and education through the message of faith, fostering healthy relationships between couples and families, and partnering with the community to lead the lost to Christ. The vision simultaneously outlines the ministry’s goal of “building builders to build, teaching teachers to teach, and pastoring pastors to pastor”.

The speaker for the anniversary services, held from Sunday to Tuesday, was the renowned Apostle Colin Esseboom of Toronto, Canada. The gifted singer, songwriter and author has been ministering for almost 40 years, having graduated from the Ebenezer Bible School in his birthplace of Guyana. With his engaging humour, biblically-aligned impartation, energetic exhortation and an evident prophetic grace on his life and ministry, Apostle Esseboom has a rare ability to read national and international trends and interpret them through scripture. He is bold and unapologetic when it comes to the things of God. Apostle Esseboom has won thousands of souls for Christ, planted churches, built buildings and raised up many ministers who are globally impacting today. He currently serves as the presiding Bishop over Dominion Ministries as well as having oversight into myriad churches worldwide. His relevant theme of “Understanding the Times” focused on what can be prophetically gleaned from the scriptures, and particularly that 2017 is a significant year of distinction for divine restoration and acceleration.

All are welcome to fellowship at Dominion Faith Centre on Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. You may also interact online at www.facebook.com/dominionfaithcentre.
