As part of the celebrations for Caribbean Wellness Day, all primary schools, St. Mary’s Pre-School and ALHCS-Campus B, celebrated Healthy School Day on Friday 16th September 2016. Students and staff participated in 15-20 minutes of exercises on the grounds of the schools. Fitness trainers from the community led the exercise sessions which generated much enthusiasm among the participants.
School Health Services would like to thank Mr. Evan Anderson, Mrs. Margie Hodge, Mrs. Marissa Hughes, Mr. Valentino Mucket, Mr. Verdene Connor, Mr. Duquane Brooks, Ms. Cleopatra d’ Auvergne and Mr. Michael Connor for so willingly volunteering their services and conducting such lively and inspiring exercise sessions.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Healthy Children in Healthy Environments”. Health sessions are being conducted, with students, during this month mainly on healthy eating and exercise.
