Actions spoke louder than words on Saturday, February 13th. Members of the Scout groups from The Valley, Island Harbour and Blowing Point all met at the home of Mr. Alvin Smith in Cul De Sac while he was spending time elsewhere with family members.
What was their mission? To beautify Mr. Smith’s home before he returned home. What a surprise it was when he walked into his yard, wondering if he was really in the right place. It was truly his house, now brightly coloured in golden yellow and white. Mr. Smith expressed sincere gratitude to the group of Scouts for their kind gesture and saw it as an early and perfect gift for his Valentine’s Day.

The Scouts of Anguilla are pleased that many generous persons within the community contributed towards their LABOUR of LOVE by providing all the material needed to get the painting job done. Sincere thanks must be expressed to some villa/homeowners in Cul De Sac, Fox’s Management Services, A D and D Harris Paints and Leonard Bennett and crew of Bennett’s Construction.
This project is the first of many more that the Scouts will embark upon throughout this year.
