Omololu International School (OIS) is moving from strength to strength, backed by its 20+ year history within Anguilla’s educational landscape and is delighted to announce the latest step in the progressive development of the school. Starting in the 2015-2016 school year, grades 1-6 will be housed in separate classrooms with their own highly trained, widely experienced teacher. Each class will have a maximum enrollment of 18 students and Kindergarten will have a maximum enrollment of 15 students.
OIS is pleased to announce that there will be an increase in the amount of financial aid available to parents. Anyone who meets the required criteria, may apply for a financial aid package from the school to assist with tuition payments. Families interested in applying for this program may pick up the related forms from the OIS office as of May 4th, 2015 when registration opens for the 2015-2016 school year.
Omolulu continues to offer an innovative and progressive curriculum that has been shown to produce students of the highest caliber. Students at OIS exhibit excellent performance on standardized testing and personal skill development, in both local and international spheres . The International Baccalaureate Programme blended with the Anguillian curriculum, offers a best practices model of engaging, multi-faceted education.
In addition to the core areas of study, OIS will continue to offer programs in Art, Music, Foreign Language and Physical Education, along with providing an interactive white-board in every classroom and personal educational computing for each student. Complementing this cadre of formal programs, are a myriad of opportunities for student exposure and empowerment, including opportunities to run for and serve on the Student Council, participation in student-led Parent Teacher Conferences where even first grade students reflect on their own performance and chart a path for growth, and contribution to regular discussions about their own roles in the culturally diverse wider world as responsible, productive citizens.
