Cheered and spirited on by their Anguillian fans and supporters, the island’s male team swept across the field with an energetic and well-playing performance that perhaps stunned their visiting competitors.

In the end, the scores were 3nil in favour of the Nicaraguans. However, the Anguillian players, though having lost the match, came in for much commendation for their improved performance, cutting down on the number of goals of their scored over them by their opposers in the previous match in Nicaragua.
Anguilla’s next FIFA-sanctioned match is to be played against a male team in Suriname.
