CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa awarded seventeen of its 415 staff members for outstanding performance at the property’s First Quarterly Celebration for 2012 held on Friday, March 9, at Santorina Restaurant.
The event was hosted by General Manager, Stephane Zaharia, and Carleen Gumbs, Director of Human Resources.
Mr. Zaharia congratulated the awardees and welcomed, in particular, those from the golf course at the ceremony for the first time. He said that since taking over that facility three months ago, the resort had received much commendation for the high standard of the golf course as well as for Italia, the very successful Italian restaurant there. He was proud that Tokyo Bay, the Japanese restaurant at the resort, was also receiving fantastic reviews for its food and service.
Mr. Zaharia described the service at Tokyo Bay as being a complete foreign culinary experience, but noted that the local employees were responding very well to their training and doing a good cuisine job. He said improvements had been done to the concept and furnishing of Le Bistro (formerly Santorini); and that 99% of the renovation of the resort’s rooms had so far been completed.
He also spoke about the commitment which the owner, Mr. Leandro Rizzuto, has to the resort. “We have to say… we are the most solid resort in Anguilla,” he commented. “We are financially solid because we have a very good owner who is backing the resort. We have to continuously work hard to show our appreciation to him for keeping this resort functioning; but we have a commitment to provide great service, to be financially responsible, and always to supply our customers with new additions and creations and be happy about it.”
