Executive Manager of CuisinArt Golf Resort and Spa, Mr Christopher Richardson, and Director of Human Resources, Ms Carleen Gumbs, presided over the awards ceremony for deserving employees for exceptional performance during the first toursim quarter, November 2014 to January 2015. The event was held at Santorini Restaurant on Friday, March 13, when Mr Richardson filled in for Mr Stephane Saharia, General Manager/First Vice President, who was off island.
Mr Richardson prefaced his remarks by thanking all of the employees, at the expanding property, for their hard work and commitment over the past several months. The work included restoring the resort in the aftermath of Hurricane Gonzalo in November. He spoke about the resort’s membership of the Leading Hotels of the World through which most of CuisinArt’s reservations are made, and which accounts for some 476 other member hotels. He was pleased that over the past three inspections by the Leading Hotels of the World Group, the resort was able to return to a level of consistency, where growth was seen in the service area, and when the hotel had moved to the number one position in the membership organisation.
Mr Richardson also spoke about continued staff training to ensure scores of up to 95 percent in the various service areas of the resort. He offered the resort’s appreciation and thanks to all of the employees for their work, and in particular to those who had shown outstanding performance, resulting in the recognition award ceremony for them.
He was joined by Ms Gumbs, the Director of Human Resources, who stated that the ceremony was for those “who went above and beyond the call of duty” during the period November and December 2014 and January 2015.
