The Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation assisted by volunteers from the St James Medical School and Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School organized a very successful “Puppy Wash” last Saturday at the Island Harbour Care Community Centre. Dogs were shampooed to rid them of ticks and fleas, while their owners received a coupon for a free spay surgery if their dog had not been “fixed” already. In addition were given a 10% discount voucher which could be used at J.W. Proctors for dog or cat food.

Another similar event is being planned for this Saturday at the Pond Ground Care Community Centre.

Dog owners are asked to bring their pet on a leash along with a towel to dry them down with. This event starts at 12:30 p.m. and will end at 3:30 p.m. For more information please call AARF at 476-2731.
