POLICE REPORT 14 CRIMES

According to information from the police, fourteen crimes, classified as ‘serious’, were committed in Anguilla during the period December 10-17.
The offences included six thefts at Island Harbour, George Hill, South Hill, Deep Waters, The Quarter and Sandy Ground.
Among the stolen items were plywood, car parts, a boat engine, jewellery, a pocket book and a sum of money.
There were five burglaries at Swing High, North Hill, The Quarter and West End. In all cases, items of jewellery were stolen.

There was one report of a murder at South Hill; and two incidents of gunshots in The Farrington area.

Eleven persons were arrested as follows: Two males on suspicion of murder; four males on possession of a firearm; one female on suspicion of possession of a firearm; one male on suspicion of human smuggling; one male for assault on a police officer; one male on a default warrant; and one male on a bench warrant.

There were five minor traffic accidents.
