Dear Editor
The Anguillian
Dear Sir
TO THE PEOPLE OF DISTRICT ONE
People of District One, you know too much about politics to allow yourselves to be fooled by the gimmick that was played out on Saturday night. I feel so sorry for Dr Webster who is only being used and abused to try to keep the AUM intact. Its other party members don’t really want him to lead, but it is the only way they could have some peace among themselves. So District One, don’t be fooled by the pretentious unity that was displayed by the AUM on Saturday night.
Dr Webster knows very little about Anguilla’s political landscape. He does not speak like a politician. He has no time to learn politics. He should simply practise his medical profession and continue to heal the sick.
People of District One, we fought too hard to get rid of Bradshaw. Voting for Hubert’s AUM is like voting for Bradshaw because the leader of the AUM has always been a Bradshaw and will die a Bradshaw. Hubert should be ashamed to show his face in Island Harbour asking people to vote for his party. He never supported the Revolution which started in Island Harbour. The next time his AUM calls a meeting there, stay home. Don’t show your face.
By the way, have you forgotten the very disparaging remarks that were made from the AUM platform about a highly esteemed resident of Island Harbour? The AUM allegedly has no respect for anyone, especially women.
Sorry Dr Webster. Hold on to your US citizenship. You have joined a band of alleged woman haters, and the women of District One cannot, and will not, vote for you. You have joined a band of allegedly power hungry people who cannot advise you since they themselves do not know what they are doing. We cannot have a party in power which has a captain and crew totally capable of steering the ship on the rocks.
People of District One, choose wisely. Do not be fooled.
