With its panoramic beach intact and landscaping restored, in the aftermath of Hurricane Gonzalo, Cap Juluca Resort reopened on schedule on Saturday, November 1st, with a positive outlook on guest arrivals and the delivery of exceptional service.
“We are looking forward to an extremely strong year for the hotel. Our bookings are well ahead of where they were in 2014, and we are so grateful to all our employees for making this possible.” Those were the words of Mrs. Linda Hickox who was in Anguilla to oversee the preparations for the reopening of the resort.
“The entire team is awesome,” she went on. “We have just completed a substantial landscaping investment throughout the resort and you will certainly notice a transformation. In fact, we were ready to open when the hurricane hit Anguilla, and it is because of the dedication of our employees, who have worked so many long hours, that the hotel is up and running on time, in spite of the damage.”
Linda Hickox explained that, “As the original owners of Cap Juluca, Charles and I have always felt that the Cap Juluca team is a very special part of our family. We are extremely happy to be here to show our support and our gratitude for having such a wonderful staff in place. There are about 225 employees at Cap Juluca and it is going to be an exciting season for them and the guests.”
“The rooms have had a soft upgrade and are looking fresh and sparkling”, she continued. “We will have a new menu at Spice Restaurant which will continue to host a number of talented local entertainers who are a great attraction, including Boss, Omari Banks and Omali. And the highlight is Pimms, our number one seafood restaurant, with its legendary romantic view of Maundays Bay and the villas.”
“We are very positive about the coming year and Cap Juluca can only get better and better, Mrs Hickox added. “We have the most beautiful beach in the world and very special service from our staff, which is so much appreciated by our guests.”
