8 THEFTS, 4 BURGLARIES REPORTED

Police in Anguilla are investigating eleven offences of dishonesty committed on the island during the period March 26 – April 2.

Eight thefts were reported at Island Harbour, South Hill, The Valley, Blowing Point and Little Dix. The stolen items included a water pump, cellular phones, a pallet of cement and car tyres.

There were three burglaries at Cauls Bottom, Sandy Hill and South Valley. Among the stolen items were jewellery, flat screen televisions and an undisclosed sum of money.

Three persons were arrested during the period as follows: one female for possession of cannabis; one male on suspicion of discharging a firearm; and one male to prevent a breach of the peace.

Six traffic accidents were reported.
