Dear Editor:
Listening to the House of Assembly today (18th December 2013), I heard a member refer to some other members as “pigs”. Among other things, he also spoke inappropriately about a number of subjects.
I stopped listening, but assumed the rest of the session continued in much the same way. I then went to lunch and the vendor I went to, his young son was listening to the “proceedings” on the radio.
I felt embarrassed to be an adult. If this is the way our democratic leaders conduct themselves, then how can adults talk about “Young People” being everything that is negative in society?
It is hypocrisy on a large scale. It is pathetic, and I feel they need to have a good hard look in the mirror and to think about how they conduct themselves in future. If they can’t communicate their thoughts without falling into the gutter, they should get out.
Yours
TIRED
