YOUNG MEN ON MURDER CHARGES REMANDED TO PRISON

The Anguilla Police said on Wednesday that the two young men arrested and charged for the murder of Gustave Charles Hodge-Lewis of North Valley, on April 29, 2012, were still on remand to Her Majesty’s Prison on a weekly basis. Their remand is until an application for bail is granted by the High Court Judge.

The young men, facing prosecution, have been named by the Police as being K. R. of South Hill and K. R. of Blowing Point. They were arrested and charged on Friday, August 30.

According to the Police, the late Gustav Hodge – Lewis received seven entry gunshot wounds to his body while participating in a fund-raising event near the Jeremiah Gumbs Highway in Blowing Point in April last year.

It is understood that both of the accused were taken to Police Headquarters for questioning shortly after the shooting incident, but were released as the investigations continued.
