The Anguilla Cycling Association (ACA) successfully hosted its 3rd annual Round-A-Bout to Round-A-Bout Race on Sunday, April 6, 2025. A total of 54 cyclists – 31 adults and 23 youths from across Anguilla and neighbouring St. Martin/Maarten participated in this exciting event. The race proved to be a fine showcase for the community as a spectators’ sport, as a large crowd came out and gathered by the Start/Finish area at Tropical Distributors – the major sponsor. Spectators also lined the race route as they enthusiastically cheered on the competing cyclists as they passed.

The U9 to U15 completed laps in the closed circuit area, starting from Tropical Distributors to Sandy Hill Round-A-Bout and around a cone just before Best Buy and back to the start finish line – U9 did 1 lap, U11 did 2 laps, U13 did 3 and U15 did 4 laps.

The U17 (15 to 16 years) did 4 laps and the Juniors did 6 laps from the Sandy Hill Round-A-Bout to the Valley Round-A-Bout starting and ending at Tropical Distributors.

The Elites did 7, and the Masters A and B did 5 laps from the Sandy Hill Round-A-Bout to the Valley Round-A-Bout also starting and ending at Tropical Distributors.

The terrain tested cyclists’ skills and physical strength as strong winds were the X-Factor compounding their efforts.

Mr. Terone Hodge-Carty, President of the ACA, shared his enthusiasm. “We are thrilled with the race’s success. The support from Anguilla’s cycling community and that of St. Martin/Maarten was overwhelming,” he said. “This event unites cyclists of all skill levels. They can share their love for the sport of cycling….The ACA aims to grow cycling in Anguilla.”
The ACA would like to express its gratitude to Tropical Distributors for their continued sponsorship and partnership over the past three years. We would also like to acknowledge the support of OJ Meals on Wheels, Mokes Anguilla, Real AXA Waters, Allan’s Woodwork Services, and Harold Ruan.

A special thank you goes to the Royal Anguilla Police Force, Traffic Wardens, and dedicated volunteers, as well as Klass FM Radio, AI-Live, and the visiting cycling teams from St. Martin and St. Maarten (including ASM, Hot Wheels, USR Velo, and VCC). We especially appreciate the participation of our local cycling clubs: Wheels on Fire, Brutal Pedals, and all the independent cyclists.
