The handover ceremony for prizes won during the 2024 Best Village Competition was a moment of pride and celebration for the community of Island Harbour. As the reigning Best Village, Island Harbour received the prestigious Dolphin Award, the highest honor of the competition, sponsored by the Government of Anguilla.

The village also secured the Best Community Spirit Award, earning them the Signature Anguilla Enhancement Project (AEP) Swing, now proudly placed on Island Harbour Beach. This prize was graciously sponsored by the Department of Youth & Culture, recognizing the village’s strong sense of unity and involvement.

Further celebrating Island Harbour’s commitment to environmental sustainability, AEP—alongside its longstanding partner, the National Commercial Bank of Anguilla—delivered two Signature AEP Dolphin Benches. These beautifully crafted benches, designed by resident artist John Lloyd, were awarded for the Green Thumb Award and Most Sustainable Village Award for 2024-2025.
The Anguilla Enhancement Project extends its warmest congratulations to the people of Island Harbour and the Island Harbour Community Initiative for their outstanding achievements. Their dedication to community enhancement and sustainability continues to set a shining example for villages across Anguilla.
