Unveiling of Plaque and renovation of the public restrooms

Malliouhana recently undertook the task of renovating the public restrooms at the People’s Market in The Valley. Recognizing the importance of clean and accessible facilities, the resort invested the time, labour and resources to ensure that residents and visitors alike can enjoy improved amenities. People can now experience the positive impact of these renovations firsthand, as the restrooms now boast a fresh and inviting atmosphere. Malliouhana’s dedication to civic pride shines through meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a comfortable and sanitary environment for all.

The renovation of the public restrooms was completed on December 18th 2023. At the official unveiling on December 23rd 2023, Jason Ruan, the Acting Director of Engineering at Malliouhana who spearheaded the project expressed, “It was a pleasure for us coming together as a team, we were pleased to actually partake in this improvement, the beginning of the project included a few stumbles but we persisted and we pulled through and we did all that we could. Sanitation is important to us. One of the pillars that we are guided by at Malliouhana is, ‘community-oriented, sustainability-focused’, we made sure to get water-saving toilets so that each flush is only 1.2 gallons.” The Managing Director of Malliouhana George Vlachopoulos followed up by saying, “We are so deeply rooted in giving back to the community, we have been doing it for 40 years, the fact of the matter is that the government called us to assist with something that really resonates with us.”
