AEP is a local non-profit organization that focuses on enhancing the communities in Anguilla in a sustainable way. Through a series of environmentally friendly initiatives like village cleanups, beach cleanups, tree planting and transforming derelict buildings to murals in several communities, this group has been able to make a significant impact in Anguilla. AEP recently launched ‘Club AEP’ where their executive team routinely meets with club members to share and carry out their vision to transform Anguilla village by village.
AEP has completed four murals throughout Anguilla, and they plan on doing much more. In December, AEP will be hosting their third annual Best Village Awards ceremony, where villages are awarded in several categories, “Cleanest Village, Greenest Village, Most Patriotic Village”, just to name a few. Malliouhana is proud to support this group by contributing a 3- course dinner for two at Celeste for the Silent Auction at the Awards Ceremony.
The President of AEP, Nakishma Rogers expressed her gratitude, “I want to extend heartfelt thanks to Malliouhana for supporting the 2023 Best Village Competition and it is my hope that in 2024 and beyond the AEP & Malliouhana can develop a partnership to aid AEP in its mission to transform Anguilla village by village.”
As Management and team members embrace sustainability at Malliouhana, they applaud groups like AEP that push for a cleaner natural environment as these are the benefits of a greener tomorrow. They also appreciate the efforts to make the villages in Anguilla better spaces for both locals and tourists through sustainable and eco-friendly initiatives.
