Viewed as one of the largest attended annual summer camps on the island, the Anguilla Football Association (AFA) has once again recorded a large turnout to this year’s Football Camp with over 400+ children in attendance.
The Football Camp, hosted by the AFA, kicked off on Monday 17th July, and runs for two weeks until Friday 28th July, from 9.00 am – 12 noon. Children ages 4-17 years are invited to attend for free.
To accommodate the large number of attendees this year, the AFA has utilized four playing fields – the Annex, The James Ronald Webster Park, Coronation Ball Field, and the Orealia Kelly Primary School Field.
The AFA’s main goal is to ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to play the sport of Football on the Island. As such, the summer camp exposes youngsters to the sport of football, teaching foundational techniques and exploring various aspects of the game, while at same time ensuring they are having fun playing football.
