On Monday, May 29, the Whit Monday A-Class Boat Race returned to Anguilla after a five-year hiatus. The race started and finished at Leon’s at Meads Bay on the shores of Anguilla’s stylish resort icon, Malliouhana.

Locals, in-house guests at Malliouhana, and guests from surrounding hotel properties all gathered to celebrate. Kicking off at 10:30 am, the day began with live entertainment from DJ Fresh and DJ Stylez. As the evening winded down Vere Musiq gave a live performance as well. Special Caribbean bites and beverages were offered, including BBQ chicken, ribs, and soups, among many other local delicacies. Anguilla’s racing boats lined up at 1:45 pm, and the boats set sail for an invigorating competition. Following the race, awards were given to Real Deal for first place, UFO for second place, and De Wizard for third place, and the top five racing boats all received cash prizes. Each participating boat also received a consolation cash prize.
