Kohn stated, “I am sincerely thankful for the hardships experienced, and the adversities that seemed impossible during that time. As a result, it has challenged me to constantly seek to adapt, elevate and navigate accordingly with every lesson learnt on the way. My tenure at the Illustrious Johnson C Smith University has been a unique journey.”

Over the past four years, Kohn has improved drastically on and off court. His leading capabilities led him to become Team Captain of the Men’s Tennis team his senior year at Johnson C. Smith University. Kohn was supported by his parents, Chris and Sandra Richardson, his extended family members, and Founder of the Anguilla Tennis Academy (ATA), Mr. Mitchelle Lake.

Mitchelle Lake said, “I am proud of Kohn Richardson and his achievements at Johnson C. Smith both on and off the court. He represented himself, family and the Anguilla Tennis Academy with honor over the past four years. I wish him continued success in his future endeavors.”

Since 1996, the ATA has provided tennis to Anguilla as well as other surrounding islands. To date, over 5,000 participants have been introduced to the sport of tennis and 13 graduates of the ATA programme have received tennis athletic scholarships to prestigious Division ll (Two) colleges in the USA.
