Last week, with a spirit of celebration and thanksgiving, the Anguilla Toastmasters Club (ATC) celebrated its tenth anniversary. Since April 2013, the ATC has helped many individuals to augment their professional skill sets, building competent leaders and communicators in the community.

This momentous occasion was commemorated under the theme “10/10: A Distinguished Decade”. To celebrate this milestone, the ATC conducted some activities to convey the culture of the ATC and indicate how educational growth occurs in a fun, friendly, and fulfilling environment.

The celebratory events commenced on Saturday 15th April, 2023, with a special outdoor club meeting at Roy’s Bayside Grill. Members gathered for an educational Table Topics session with speeches and speech evaluations, followed by fellowship and revelry.

ATC members joined the Kingdom Citizens Church congregation on Sunday for morning worship. ATC President Waynika Romney gave remarks highlighting the values and benefits of joining the Anguilla Toastmasters Club during the service.

On Tuesday morning, members of the ATC had a radio interview with Klass FM Radio Station. The representing members shared membership admission details, the practicality and benefits of the Toastmasters programme, and gave testimonies regarding their experience in leadership and communication both inside and outside of club meetings.

To close the celebration, ATC members headed down to Elvis Beach Bar on Thursday evening for a night of delicious eats and Karaoke. As the members reveled into the evening, they dined and sang, putting aside their collywobbles and showcasing their bravery.

Ten years ago, the charter members of the Anguilla Toastmasters Club identified a platform that could aid professional development economically and practically. They acted on instinct, created the Anguilla Toastmasters Club, and brought the Toastmasters brand to Anguilla. Ten years later, the club has become a reputable stepping stone in helping individuals to hone invaluable skills and propel their careers forward.

The Anguilla Toastmasters Club meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 6:45 PM at the DYC Training Room, Fairplay Complex.

The ATC looks forward to having you in their fun, friendly, and fulfilling environment. Join the ATC community and stand out as a communicator and leader.
