ANGUILLA HAS ITS FIRST CARIFTA AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP SWIMMER

Alex Traveling to CARIFTA 2023

Seventeen-year-old Alexander Fleming Lake continues to leave his mark as he represents Anguilla in the prestigious 36th CARIFTA Swimming Championships to be held in Curacao from 6th-9th April, 2023.

Alex, as he is affectionately known, will compete in 3 swimming events: 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.

He is currently recovering from an injury, nonetheless is excited about representing Anguilla in the upcoming meet.

His most recent meet produced times are:
00:26:67 in the 50m freestyle
00:31:01 in the 50m backstroke
00:35:50 in the 50m breaststroke

Alex arrived in Curacao on Wednesday 5th April, 2023, with his chaperone Joseph Williams – a member of the Anguilla Swimming Association.
