The students and teachers at Omololu International School recently celebrated being 100 days smarter with a variety of exciting activities that brought the school community together in a day of fun and learning.
To mark the occasion, students and teachers dressed up as 100-year-olds, complete with gray wigs, glasses, and canes, to kick off the day’s events. The school campus was filled with laughter and joy as students and teachers donned their best elderly attire.
The celebration continued with a thrilling balloon popping contest, where participants had a chance to win up to $100. Over 100 balloons were scattered across the school, and students raced to pop as many as they could within a set time limit.
In addition to the balloon popping contest, students participated in a series of physical challenges, including jump rope, hula hoop, plank, push-up, and sit-up challenges. The challenges were designed to be both fun and educational, encouraging students to stay active and healthy while having fun with their classmates.
One of the highlights of the day was the 100-item scavenger hunt, where students raced around the school searching for a variety of items on a pre-prepared list. The scavenger hunt was a great way to engage students in a fun and educational activity while helping them develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Overall, the 100th day of school celebration was a huge success, with students and teachers alike enjoying a day of fun and learning. The event not only helped students feel more connected to their school community but also provided an opportunity for them to apply the skills they’ve learned in the classroom to real-life situations.
The success of the event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Omololu staff and administration, who continue to find innovative ways to engage students and promote a love of learning. With events like the 100th day of school celebration, it’s no wonder that students at OIS are thriving and excelling both in and out of the classroom.
