The Ministry of Education wishes to advise the public that the opening of the Albena Lake-Hodge Comprehensive School at the new site in The Farrington, has been postponed. We have worked assiduously toward ensuring that all programmes have been completed by their contractual deadlines, however, after reviewing the scope of work required to complete the project we have determined that a September opening would not be practical.
The Ministry acknowledges that many teachers and students have been looking forward to the occupation of the new Farrington campus and it shares the dismay that many feel right now. We will continue to work with the contractors, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure this project is completed as soon as possible.
