Officers attached to the Crime Group executed a targeted operation on Monday 18th July 2022. As a result, Chevon Gumbs 37-year-old male of South Hill was arrested and charged for the offence of possession of a firearm to wit – a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, and eleven (11) rounds of ammunition.
Mr. Gumbs appeared before the Magistrate Court on Tuesday 19th July 2022 to answer those charges and was remanded to Her Majesty Prison.
Horace Huggins, 23-year-old Construction Worker of South Hill, Anguilla, was arrested and charged with possession of ammunition to wit: one 2.28 calibre round.
Mr. Huggins appeared before the Magistrate Court on Tuesday 19th July 2022 to answer those charges and was granted bail in the sum of seven thousand five hundred dollars, to reappear in court on Friday 30th September 2022. Mr. Huggins is expected to remain compliant with several conditions laid down by the court.

a) The defendant is entitled to a fair trial;
b) There is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty;
c) Nothing would be stated or published which would prejudice a fair trial taking place; and
d) Section 115(g) of the Criminal Code applies and provides for an offense in respect of any person who, while a judicial proceeding is pending, makes use of any speech or writing misrepresenting such proceeding or capable of prejudicing any person in favor of or against any parties to such proceeding or calculated to lower the authority of any person before whom the proceeding is to be held.
