Rotarian Jacquie Ruan

The Caribbean Lottery has committed to making a donation each year, to our schools, and has done so once again this year. It is especially important this month when, after the hardship of hurricane Irma followed by Covid pandemic…, you realise how our youth do not stop growing – and now it’s back to school time. Books and uniforms, shoes and equipment, put a heavy tack in all familes’ budgets.

As Rotarians of Anguilla, we make a concerted effort to assist. Last week we purchased backpacks, and this week, with this generous donation from Caribbean Lottery we are able to help the less fortunate to obtain necessary equipment for those young people whose parents struggle with the inevitable cost of living rising every month.

Rotary Club of Anguilla continues as humanitarians to recognise the need, and constantly finds ways to raise funds. No child should have to attend school without the tools to read and write.

So we truly thank Caribbean Lottery for its annual generosity. Thank you again.

President Jacquie.
