At a crowded Ebenezer Methodist Church on Sunday 19th June, an excited audience was treated to an impressive Fathers’ Day programme presented by the Ebenezer Men’s Fellowship. The event, under the Directorship of Sanford Richardson, was the ninth annual programme held. The programme was not presented during the years 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The focus of the programme was the Ebenezer Men’s Fellowship Choir whose ministry included Hymns and Gospel songs. Other musical items included solos sung by members Gary Carty, Lester Samuel and Clive Richardson. There were also poems recited by members of the Church’s Sunday School and Boys Brigade.
The programme was well received by the large and appreciative audience drawn from all six Methodist congregations of the circuit, as well as persons from other denominations across the island’ It was streamed live via FACEBOOK on Ebenezer People”. Many in attendance were perennial supporters since the event’s inception.

This year the programme paid silent tribute to members who had passed on since the 2019 programme. Those deceased were Brothers George “Jiggy” Brooks, Wycliffe Richardson, Keith Robinson, and Lindley Harrigan
Musical accompaniment was provided by Mr. Devaunie Richardson, organist; Kyron Hodge, drummer; Carl Harrigan, bath pan bass; and Director Sanford Richardson, guitarist.
The Director Sanford Richardson remarked that except for occasional delays the programme was a success and the long evenings of practice and commitment had paid off.
