The Valley, Anguilla. (June 7, 2022) – The UP Girl organisation made its debut in 2020 and is proud to announce that plans are confirmed for the 3rd Annual Young Female Empowerment Seminar for the week of August 14th – 20th, 2022. Over the years many young females between the ages of 10 – 18 have had the opportunity to engage in topics ranging from personal hygiene, financial literacy, fashion, legal rights, self-defense, health, beauty, hair care, fashion, make up, body image and team building exercises. UP Girl also had sessions that were specifically related to feminism, public speaking, and other topics.

This year new and exciting topics, discussions and activities will be introduced.

The primary aim of UP Girl is to help empower young girls, through continued support systems that encourage a healthy haven for direct communication, without the fear of being ridiculed for their difference of opinion, cultural background, tradition, faith or ethnicity.
The headliners dedicating their time to engage the girls in the topics include prominent women within the community from a plethora of sectors including government officials, entrepreneurs, executives, medical and legal professionals, and more, who will be sharing their experiences, expertise and advice.

The registration fee for the seminar is US$40 which includes a branded t-shirt, water, lunch and activities.

Persons who register before June 30, 2022, will be considered early registrants and receive a branded UP Girl package. The registration deadline is July 31, 2021; however, spaces are limited so early registration is highly recommended.

All proceeds will be used to effectively manage and arrange the various activities which support the purpose of the organisation. At the end of the seminar, it is expected that the girls will have a better appreciation for personal, social and financial development and growth.

In the years to come, the UP Girl aims to have the ability to fund young females in endeavours that will enhance the Anguillian community such as educational scholarships and travel abroad opportunities.

UP Girl is also welcoming sponsors & contributors to commit in service, kind, monetary or even a few words of encouragement.
