On the evening of Tuesday 12th April 2022, Malliouhana held an open house event at their spa. Among the attendees were reps from various villa management companies and other small hotel properties. Guests staying at the hotel were also in attendance. They were treated to small bites and cocktails and given tours of Malliouhana’s spa. Throughout the evening, everyone mixed and mingled until they were eventually surprised with spa treatment giveaways.

Malliouhana’s spa was originally opened in 2002 by its previous owners, it was closed in 2011 and relocated to a villa on the property. In December 2019, after being renovated, the spa re-opened in a new location on the property. However, three months later, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, it had to close.

Now open and under the helm of the Spa Supervisor Estela Gagliano and her trained team of Spa Therapists, the spa at Malliouhana was named one of the world’s best spas in 2021 by Harper’s Bazaar. The spa sits atop at small cliff and overlooks the gorgeous and serene Meads Bay beach. Surrounded by lush green vegetation that contributes to the tropical setting, the spa boasts a full-service salon with premier private fitness training rooms and six spacious treatment rooms with a private infinity pool. Hues of creamy white and sky blue create a chilled atmosphere with natural, island inspired textures that set the tone for elevated comfort as the subtle aroma of lemongrass looms.

Most of the spa treatments employ local ingredients. One of the favourite treatments is the Tropical Euphoria which begins with a rejuvenating foot scrub using local Anguillian sea salt, minerals and essential oils, followed by a customized invigorating body mask, refreshing mint foot massage and revitalizing scalp massage. These transformative, island-inspired spa journeys are designed to elevate your overall well-being and transport you to a state of pure bliss. Along with the main spa treatments, there are many other services offered like salon services, nail care and waxing.

The General Manager of Malliouhana, George Vlachopoulous remarked, “I am happy that our spa is now fully opened. Here at Malliouhana, we are eager for our in-house guests to use the wide array of spa amenities available to them, we also encourage guests from other properties and locals to come to our spa as well”.
