The Ministry of Education and Social Development is pleased to announce that the official LinkedIn page for the Government of Anguilla is active – and managed in collaboration with the Honourable Deputy Governor, Mr. Perin Bradley, and the Department of Information Technology & E-Government Services (DITES). It is the intent of all the parties involved to explore the full potential of the social media network – the main purpose of which is building and empowering the professional network of its users.
Administration of the page will be multifaceted. All current and past civil servants are encouraged to update their professional profiles by not only listing the Government of Anguilla as an employer but following the page as well.
The Honourable Minister of Education and Social Development, Miss Dee-Ann Kentish-Rogers, shared her vision for the management of the official LinkedIn page by noting, “I am excited to see this resource used as a meeting place for all tiers of professional connections. I look forward to creating stronger links with all Civil Servants through this medium, and using it as a platform for their immediate and long-term development. I am confident that, through this page, they will garner a greater appreciation for the critical role they play in the advancement and efforts of the Government of the day. Above all else, I commit to working with all the page administrators to provide content, opportunities, collaborative training and learning engagement. LinkedIn is an expansive source of professional and field-specific knowledge with its connections in almost every area of expertise shared on a daily basis. I am cognisant that the Deputy Governor, who is ultimately responsible for the Civil Service, will communicate on the learning and training component that will be explored through this tool. While this comes to fruition, I invite all persons to share articles, content and opportunities that can be of benefit to the Civil Service.”
