The Anguilla Statistics Department is pleased to announce the Anguilla Population and Housing Census 2022 slogan and logo. On this occasion, unlike in 2011 when a competition was held to select the catchiest slogan and a design for the logo, the decision to brand Anguilla’s Census was made. Consequently, going forward the slogan and logo for Anguilla’s censuses will be – ‘It All Adds Up!’ and the usual house in the logo design depicting components of Anguilla will remain.
Branding is the process of creating a strong, positive perception of a product or service in the minds of individuals by combining such elements as logo, design, mission statement, and a consistent theme throughout all marketing communications. A good example of branding is the KFC design and slogan, ‘Finger licking good’, which has served KFC since 1952.
The slogan was coined almost 11 years ago by Ms. Merlica Smith Jolie of the Vivien Vanterpool Primary School – “Anguilla Population and Housing Census 2011 – It All Adds Up”
The logo was designed by Mr. Damien Carty, who provided six (6) designs with the sixth design capturing the sentiments of what we know is a population and housing census.
The jingle – It All Adds Up was scripted by Mr. Bernard B. Wattley and performed by Mr. John Lloyd aka ‘Johnny’ or King Springer.
Anguilla’s Census day is Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Your willing participation in the enumeration will assist in making this exercise a success.
