It started in heaven, this thing called War
‘Twixt our Creator and a cherub called Lucifer.
Our God is the Author of Love and Peace
He told us to forgive men their trespasses.
But here is something we must think about
God firmly decided to throw that cherub out.
You see! God knew that that cherub was bad
And nothing He could do would bring a rehab!
He turned bad to the bone that once Bright Morning Star
Who concocted a plan for a Heavenly war.
He thought of this and he thought of that
Then he and one angel had a military chat;
Those two turned to four, then four turned to eight
And that group was soon engulfed in hate.
They planned and manoeuvred, they uttered no word
Till the eight grew and grew to be Heaven’s one third
They proclaimed war on God (Oh blasphemous thing)
Demons making war with the Heavenly King.
I say this to say, there are times we must fight
Stand up for our freedom , stand up for our right.
No mercy or love, forgiveness or peace
Will cause our enemies’ hatred to cease.
So let’s march to the frontlines, blood flowing red
Bandage our wounded, bury our dead.
Don’t turn our cheeks, or say “Leave them alone.”
They will think we are cowards and break our jawbones.
Let’s gird up our loins, pack our weapons of war.
It’s our land and progeny we are fighting for.
