The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI) is pleased to partner with the Anguilla Community College (ACC) for its GIFT A SKILL campaign. The GIFT A SKILL campaign is a systematic way for small businesses and institutions to support Anguillians, especially youth, who may be interested in tertiary education but are unable to fund the full cost of their education. GIFT A SKILL is also an opportunity for businesses and individuals to support training for their staff, their loved ones, or any person in the community.

On Thursday 3rd February, the President of ACOCI’s Executive Board, Mrs. Vida Lloyd -Richardson, and other members of the Board, presented a cheque to the Anguilla Community College for the Gift a Skill campaign. The cheque was presented to the President of ACC, Dr. Kenneth Williams, and the Registrar, Ms. Carla Harris.

Dr. Williams shared: “Partnering with ACOCI has been very interesting as ACOCI appears to have a very clear understanding of the needs of Anguilla. As we relate to them, they help to sharpen our understanding of what we should provide to the general Anguillian community.

This is important in trying to strengthen Anguilla, and ACOCI has been at the forefront of strengthening Anguilla in terms of Industry. It is a real pleasure to partner with ACOCI.”

The recipient of this award is Ms. Kurlyn Smith, a finalising student in the Business Programme at the Anguilla Community College.

The award will enable Kurlyn to continue her studies by pursuing the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Marketing. The Certificate in Marketing comprises 2 courses:
· Marketing Principles
· Digital Marketing

The award sponsored by ACOCI covers all administrative, assessment and tuition fees.

ACOCI is unwavering in its support of educational institutions and business development, and is pleased to renew its relationship with ACC through this initiative. Ms. Kurlyn Smith is wished every success in her programme.

The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry offers support and valuable opportunities to its members. The Chamber of Commerce extends an invitation to all businesses and entrepreneurs to become members. Contact ACOCI at +1 (264) 235-2840/2839 or email info@anguillachamber.com for more information.
