The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) recently launched a Christmas Card Competition for students enrolled in schools on Anguilla. Despite the current difficult situation existing with online learning, the Community Relations Department of the RAPF was able to secure a number of Christmas card entries from the primary schools, including Guishard’s Academy and Omololu International School.
121 card entries were received as follows:
Valley Primary School (20)
Alwyn Alison Richardson Primary School (8)
Vivien Vanterpool Primary School (9)
Adrian T. Hazel Primary School (2)
Orealia Kelly Primary School (22)
Omololu International School (52)
Guishard’s Academy (8)
Morris Vanterpool Primary School (0)
On Friday 3rd December 2021, HE the Governor, Dileeni Daniel Selvaratnam, and the Commissioner of Police, David Lynch, selected 4 winning cards from a total of 121 cards that were received. The winning cards were:
• Governor’s Card
• Commissioner’s Card
• Endeavour (selected by the Governor and the Commissioner)
• Artistic Excellence (selected by the Community Relations Department)
The names of the winners of the competition will be published in a subsequent memo – and the winning students, and their parents, will be invited to a special afternoon Christmas Ceremony at Government House where the students will be presented with their winning certificates and prizes.
