The Minister with responsibility for Economic Development and Commerce, Mr. Kyle Hodge, shone the spotlight on the St. Lucia Anguilla Club by focusing on the work they are doing to repair the dilapidated People’s Market.

Speaking at the Government’s Press Conference on Monday, December 6, 2021, Mr. Hodge said: “On behalf of the Government and the Ministry, we want to commend them and say a hearty ‘Thank you’. In just 2 days of work, they have transformed the market from a state of disrepair.

“A special ‘Thank you’ to Mrs. Gilda Gumbs Samuel, PRO; to Mr. Joseph Williams, President; to all the tradesmen; and to all who have contributed towards this. A mighty ‘Thank you’ to all who have done their part to bring it to this state. It is not completed as yet, but so much has already been done. We will see the completed work in the weeks to come.”
