Anguilla’s senior Certified Public Accountant and Financial Advisor, Mr. Claudel V. Romney, will be a special guest on The University of the West Indies (UWI) Open Campus’ Let’s Talk Access regional programme was held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Let’s Talk Access is a weekly social media programme produced and presented by the Marketing and Communications Department of The UWI Open Campus during the recruitment period.
The live one-hour programme is broadcast simultaneously on Facebook and YouTube and features a panel of expert guests who discuss the various degree programmes in The UWI Open Campus. This week, the focus is on Accounting and Mr. Romney will join co-panelists Ms. Charon Ince-Christopher, Programme Manager, Academic Programming and Delivery Division in The UWI Open Campus and Ms. Kathy-Ann Hewitt, Executive Director, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados. Mr. Romney, who is currently a Senior Member for BDO Eastern Caribbean, has more than 25 years’ experience with the ‘Big Four’ International Accounting Firms and more than 18 years in Financial Reporting and Regulatory Compliance.

During the session, he and the other panelists will speak about their training and experience as industry professionals, field questions and provide students/potential students with information on how they can utilise an accounting degree.

The UWI Open Campus Anguilla is inviting the general public and in particular those interested in accounting or finance to participate in the session via Facebook.com/ or Youtube at uwiopencampus caribbean www.open.uwi.edu/livestream on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 2:30 p.m.

The UWI is ranked among the top 1.5% of Universities worldwide and applicants have until on December 15, 2021, to submit applications to begin The UWI Open Campus Bachelor of Science Accounting Degree programme in January 2022.
