Ms. Trudy Nixon is the proprietor of True Communications and has been the Writer/Publisher of True Anguilla Magazine, a local tourism information guide for the past 17 years. Since 2004, she has invested a great degree of dedication in producing True Anguilla, an annual tourism-oriented publication. Ms. Nixon has now decided to embark on Digicel’s TV Channel 8 with the programme True Anguilla TV.
Ms. Nixon recently told The Anguillian: “True Anguilla is going into television. We will be taking our greatly loved tourism information guide and turning it into a TV show which is going to be aired on Channel 8 of the Digicel Network. We recognise Digicel as the leading cable provider of choice for the major local hotels.
“True Anguilla TV will also run on Digicel’s PlayGo and YouTube apps,” Trudy said. “This will be a looping type of TV show in a magazine style. All of the characteristics of our True Anguilla Magazine will be featured on True Anguilla TV. Such features will include interviews, activities, lifestyle opportunities, real estate, and general Anguilla information.”
She continued: “When our visitors come on island, and they access the Digicel Network, they will get a push message that will send then to True Anguilla TV.”
Trudy noted that this is an exciting venture for her, as she is working with such capable producers as KSharp Media and Chad Kent Visuals. She said that the show will feature local personalities, local artists and content providers, to realise an innovative production of True Anguilla Magazine in a television format.
