This morning I awakened not knowing what words I would compose for this week’s column. It seems my creativity for writing had decided to play hide and seek. As I meditated, a thought came to mind. It was “the joy of life”.
I don’t know about anybody else, and can only speak for myself, but I am feeling immensely joyful with how I am living my existence. There is nothing to complain about. No aches and pains. None of the usual human suffering. I have no worries nor enormous stresses.
Everything that I need to live a contented, yet not extravagant lifestyle, is provided by the grace of God. Truly, I am blessed each and every day that I have to breathe the breath of life. Now how many people can say the same for themselves?
What I have witnessed over the past few months, as we continue living with this widespread health and financial wave, is that individuals are becoming more stressed by life’s ever changing circumstances. Many are not able to cope gracefully and easefully with what we are now calling the “new normal”.
It is understandable that a multitude of folks are having difficulty adjusting to the shifts. We humans have been programmed to resist change, to live in fear, and to stick with what is most comfortable and familiar to us. But then, that isn’t how the Creator made this world to be, nor us either.
Life is about the following things that we must learn to embrace wholeheartedly if we wish to advance ourselves. Living. Adjusting. Changing. Developing. Growing. Moving. Releasing. Shifting. Transforming. Functioning individually. Working together. Doing what is best for our soul selves – as well as what’s good for the collective.
God is calling us to greater self-evolution. This is part of the Divine Plan that we must acknowledge and accept. For if not, we will certainly not make advancements with humanity living consciously. Are we listening to Spirit and utilising our divine gifts or just following the crowd? This is a question that each of us needs to ask ourselves.
In my younger days when I did not have the wisdom that I have acquired throughout the decades of experiencing this lifecycle, I wanted to fit in with others. I kept my true authentic self hidden behind an assortment of role-playing masks. Nowadays, I am as I profess myself to be, Extraordinarily me! It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of me – how I act or behave, what I say or do, my shape or size, etcetera – I just enjoy being whomever I choose to be.
Of course, we must give consideration to how we are and how it impacts other persons. Yet, we need not conform to other people’s impressions of us nor how they wish we were. We are encouraged to be who the Most-High created us to be. Some individuals might believe that we cannot be ourselves in totality.
Nevertheless, when we listen intuitively to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and utilise wise decision-making in whatever we do, and however we are, then we are spiritually-guided accordingly. If we operate from our hearts and the consciousness of our souls, with love and compassion for ourselves as well as every other being on the planet, then we are able to walk peacefully in this earthly realm.
The mission that Jah has given us in these days, and times, is to shine brilliantly all of the light that is carried within our inner spirits. When we radiate the brilliance of our inward lights, then we set alight paths for others to follow. It is not always effortless conducting ourselves in this celestial manner – because there is so much negativity, downpression, greed, corruption and malevolence that exists.
There are some persons who do no wrong, and others who are intent on harming as many as they can affect. We all know right from wrongdoings. That we were taught as children. How any person chooses to live her/his life is up to the individual.
If we had a moral upbringing, and haven’t steered from maintaining a level of ethics, integrity and principles, then we will be able to manoeuvre life’s challenges joyfully. Nothing is ever permanently as it is. We must learn to adapt and to seek the joy of life!
