The general public is reminded that the Central Electoral Office is still carrying out normal duties related to the requirements of the Elections Act and the Elections Registration Regulations. These include:
• Continuous registration of new voters who meet the qualifying criteria,
• Changes to names, addresses or occupations of registered voters,
• Printing of voter ID cards.
Special appeal is being made to registered voters who are no longer residing in the Electoral District in which they were last registered, to apply to register in the district in which they currently reside to avoid the rush in the future.
The general public is also asked to take note that fifteen (15) persons applied to register as voters during the fourth quarter of 2021. The electoral districts and numbers are as follows:
• Island Harbour district – no new registrants
• Sandy Hill district – four (4) new registrant
• Valley North district – four (4) new registrants
• Valley South District – one (1) new registrants
• Road North District – one (1) new registrant
• Road South District – four (4) new registrants
• West End District – one (1) new registrant
The names of these persons have been included in the Quarterly List of Voters and will be published today, November 11th, 2021 in their respective districts and on the website of the Central Electoral Office; www.gov.ai/electoraloffice.
Registered voters have ten (10) days to object to the inclusion of any of the names on the Quarterly List of Voters. Objections should be made on the relevant forms available at the Central Electoral Office on or before November 21st, 2021.
