The ATB is pleased to partner with the Academy to promote Anguilla as a premiere tennis destination, and we encourage all our stakeholders to include the ATA and its superb facilities in the information shared with their guests. We are proud to have this world-class tennis academy in Anguilla. It is undoubtedly the best stand-alone tennis facility in the region.”
Mr. David Shaftel, Editor and Founder of Racquet magazine, authored the story. He interviewed both Mitch Lake and Shawn Romney while vacationing at Malliouhana, an Auberge Resort. David explained to his readers that tennis is what brought him and his family to Anguilla. According to David, for tennis tourists like himself, Anguilla remains the undisputed ace of the Caribbean.
Mitchelle Lake, Founder of the Anguilla Tennis Academy, said; “It is an honour for the ATA’s story to be featured in Travel and Leisure magazine. Millions of affluent readers and tennis enthusiasts will learn about the ATA and choose Anguilla as their tennis destination. Indeed, Anguilla and Anguillians should be proud of the sports tourism impact that ATA is making to our island.”
Yann Auzoux, CEO of Tennis Central, who also recently featured the ATA as a cover story in its magazine, The Tennis Curator, praised the ATA for its amazing story being told through national media publications in the USA, like Tennis and Leisure magazine. He commented; “ I am thrilled that the ATA story is receiving national media exposure. This is also beneficial for the island. It is essential for the entire country to assist the next phase of the ATA’s development that will be spearheaded by the Anguilla Tennis Academy. This gem is to be preserved, highlighted and scaled.”
