The Outreach Baptist Church celebrated back-to-school on Sunday, August 8, where students of primary and secondary schools were invited to receive backpacks filled with school necessities.
The sermon was preached by Pastor George Richardson. It was entitled, “What makes a Champion?” The students were engaged in a lesson on the story of Goliath who was depicted by Mr. Evan Gumbs. The key takeaway was that the students should follow what is good and be champions – but also have conviction in themselves.
The Outreach Baptist Church would like to express thanks to the loyal and ever-caring contributors, from the US, who donated supplies. The donors included: Joseph (Joe B) Williams, Jackie Rogers, Paul Calise, Merrilee Gorman, Claude Clevinger, Family Medical Center – Dr V, Sincere 2000 Foundation and Tropical Shipping LLC, USA.
Thanks, were also extended to the Government of Anguilla, the Education Department, the Customs Department, Arian Freight & Customs Brokerage, Pat Mardenborough and the Duncan’s family.
