Mr. Louvan Webster and his daughter, Jansie, were working in their garden at Mount Fortune on July 8, 2021.

For some unexplained reason, Jansie, a Librarian at the Anguilla Public Library, and a member of the Anguilla Archaeological and Historical Society, gazed up at the sky.

“What’s that?” she asked her father.

It was a stunning view: Contrails from two crossing jets over Anguilla came into full view. This is what they saw:
Editor’s note: Jet trails or contrails, commonly seen against the blue sky, are white exhausts from high altitude jets. The hot humid trails come from the jet engines and are mixed in with the atmosphere. The contrails normally remain across the sky for a long time before gradually dissipating.

Reportedly, this may be the first time that crossing jet contrails have been noticed over the island and recorded on camera.
