As part of its commitment to education and the development of the business community and future business leaders in Anguilla, the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI) is pleased to partner with the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School (ALHCS), for the fourth year, to offer a special award to the top performing student in Business Studies at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) level.

Mr. Orlando Hill is the proud 2020 recipient of the award. He performed exceptionally well, earning Grade 1’s in all five business subjects which included Office Administration, Electronic Document Preparation and Management (EDPM), Principles of Accounts, Principles of Business, and Economics.
On his impressive achievement, Mr. Hill shared:

“I feel really accomplished having received this award. I spent many long nights studying and the hard work really paid off. I am very thankful to my teachers and family for all the invaluable help and support they have provided. I would also like to express my gratitude to ACOCI for funding this award.”

Mrs. Rita Celestine-Carty, Principal of the ALHCS, conveyed her congratulations to Mr. Hill on his achievement: “We are very pleased and proud of Orlando for his excellent performance in Business Studies at the CSEC level and for being the 2020 recipient of this special award.”

She went on to add: “We are also very happy to be partnering with the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI) for the fourth year. All of our awards at the school depend on the generosity of our community partners who provide the funding necessary to purchase the prizes and tokens for each subject area and special award. We look forward to continuing the partnership in the future.”

ACOCI President, Mrs. Vida Lloyd-Richardson, expressed the delight of the Chamber to be able to partner once again with the ALHCS for this special award. She shared:

“On behalf of the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI), we wish to congratulate Mr. Hill on his accomplishment in Business Studies. It is a privilege for us at the Chamber to partner with the school once again to offer this special award. We really get excited about young people who are interested in business and exhibit their talent through their exams. This is an excellent starting point for Mr. Hill and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.”

She reaffirmed ACOCI’s commitment to education and the growth of the business community and its members.
The Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACOCI) extends an invitation to all businesses and entrepreneurs to become members of ACOCI. Visit the website anguillachamber.com or call the office at 497-2839 for more information.
