The Valley, Anguilla- The Ministry and Department of Education congratulate students of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School for their outstanding performance in making the CXC Regional Merit List for the July/August 2020 CCSLC, CSEC and CAPE Examinations.
The CXC Regional Merit List highlights the students across the region who attained the top ten scores in each subject area. The Ministry and Department of Education are pleased to announce that this year twenty-two students from Anguilla made the Regional Merit List.
At the CCSLC level, Mya Lake was awarded Most Outstanding Female Performer Overall, ranking 1st in Mathematics and 2nd in both Integrated Science and Social Studies. Ms. Lake was honoured at the CXC’s Regional Top Awards Virtual Ceremony hosted in Antigua and Barbuda on Thursday, 3rd June, 2021. Congratulations are extended to Mya on her remarkable achievement.
Still at the CCSLC level, Michael Caragliano ranked 2nd in Integrated Science and 10th in Social Studies. Integrated Science would see Safiya Banks and Joniqua Harrigan, both ranking 10th in the subject. The Social Studies Merit List was dominated by Anguillian students: Lyse-Andria Franklin -1st, Amani Richardson- 2nd, Jahzara Hughes, Sekani Reid and Zoey Roach- 4th, Wendysha Hodge- 7th and Khya Fleming and Tia Webster tied for 10th.
At CSEC level, Jaivani Carty ranked 1st in Geography while Nandi Edwards ranked 10th. Music recording Demari Gumbs as 1st, Chiedyn Bryan 2nd and Solomon Bannister 3rd.
At CAPE level, Michael Creschendo Martin ranked 5th in Financial Services Unit 2 and 9th in Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Unit 2. Food and Nutrition Unit 1 would record Ziana Richardson and Brianna Battick as 5th and 10th respectively.
The Ministry and Department of Education again congratulate the students on their achievements and extend a heartfelt thank you to all the persons who played a role in ensuring the success of the students, including parents, teachers and other supporters. The Ministry and Department extend a special thank you to all teachers at the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive and Omololu International Schools for their commitment and guidance.
