Dr Kyle A. Hodge received his degree, Doctor of Medicine (MD), at the 183rd Albany Medical College commencement ceremony on May 27th 2021, in New York, USA. In March, this year, Kyle successfully matched at his number one choice residency programme at the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr Kyle A. Hodge intends to pursue specialist training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Kyle obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences (cum laude), and a Masters degree in Biological Sciences from Binghamton University, State University of New York, prior to pursing his medical training at Albany Medical College in New York. During medical school training, Kyle was involved in various research activities in collaboration with others to include: Investigating biomarkers to predict the development of fibrosis in Crohn’s Disease, and investigating phenotypic characterisation of hepatocellular carcinoma. These research findings will be published shortly in a medical journal.
During his time in medical school, Kyle was a member of the Albany Medical College Chapter of the Student National Medical Association.
Dr Kyle A. Hodge is no stranger to academic success. He was valedictorian of his graduating class of 2009 of the Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School, in Anguilla, and after attending sixth form was the Island Scholar in 2011.
Kyle takes this time to thank all those individuals who played a role in his training to include his family, relatives, teachers and friends. Kyle is the son of Dr Brett Hodge and Sheila K. Hodge.
Dr Brett Hodge and the entire Hodge family are proud of the outstanding achievement of Kyle. He is also extremely pleased that his nephew, Dr Brian Hodge, also graduated from medical school on May 27th 2021. Dr Kyle A. Hodge and Dr Brian Hodge are the nephews of Mr Seymour Hodge.
