God of all consolation, in your unending love and mercy for us, you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life.
Show compassion to her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, all other members of the Royal family, the people of the Commonwealth as we mourn the death of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
We praise you for your goodness and mercy that followed him all the days of his life, and faithfulness in the tasks to which you called him.
Be our refuge and strength to lift us from darkness of this grief to the peace and light of your presence.
You son, our Lord Jesus Christ by dying for us, conquered death by rising again, restored to life.
Give us grace to be faithful in the days of our earthly pilgrimage, that with all who have served you faithfully and are now at rest, we may share the glory of your heavenly kingdom and be partakers of their joy; through the merits of our Saviour Jesus Christ, to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be praise and glory for ever and ever. AMEN.

Rt. Reverend Errol Brooks
