The Ministry of Health informs the general public that starting the week of April 12th, the administration of 2nd doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will begin in accordance with the previously scheduled appointment dates. Persons are kindly reminded to visit the vaccination site at the Princess Alexandra Hospital to receive their 2nd dose on the date listed on their appointment cards.
The Ministry reminds the public that vaccinations for 2nd doses have been scheduled between 8-10 weeks after first doses to achieve maximum effectiveness against COVID-19. Thus, persons should not seek to receive their 2nd doses earlier than scheduled. Furthermore, in addition to the appointment cards received when the first dose was administered, persons must also bring a national ID , e.g. passport or driver’s license, to ensure that their official vaccination card details accurately correspond to their identity documents.
In order to facilitate the administration of 2nd doses and based on the low usage, the old South Hill Health Centre vaccination site will be closed from Wednesday 14 April, 2021 until further notice.
To date, 5835 persons have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccinations remain a critical component to the full re-opening of Anguilla to passenger travel while protecting the population from the negative health impacts of COVID-19. The goal is for a minimum of 70% of the population to be vaccinated. Persons who wish to receive their first dose are still encouraged to walk-in to the Princess Alexandra Hospital site or to utilize the mobile vaccination sites.

Person who have been vaccinated and experience any side effects or adverse reactions are encouraged to report this at 235-4357 that is 235-HELP.
