The St. Mary’s Preschool observed Early Childhood Month with a colourful parade of its students around the nearby vicinity on Thursday, March 25, attracting much public attention.
Principal of the School, Ms Keturah Richardson, now in her fourth year in that position, said she and her teaching staff had decided against holding a combined parade involving all the other preschools as a precaution against COVID-19. It was an effort to avoid a mass gathering.
Following the parade, which was well-supported by parents and guardians, there was a series of fun day activities and delicacies on the grounds of the preschool. The main location of the events was the attractive and sprawling courtyard covered by synthetic grass and ringed with Christmas palm trees.
St. Mary’s Preschool is the largest of the Early Childhood Education Centres in Anguilla, with a roll of approximately 130 children.
