The Hon. Minister of Tourism, Mr. Haydn Hughes, has announced the appointment of Ms. Monica Bryan to the Board of Directors of the Anguilla Tourist Board, effective January 4th, 2021.
“Ms. Bryan is the epitome of dedication, and as such will be an invaluable asset to the ATB’s Board of Directors,” said Minister Hughes. “We need a diverse cadre of individuals from different sectors of the industry to bring their expertise and knowledge to tackle the many challenges facing Anguilla’s tourism industry today,” the Minister continued.
“We are pleased to welcome Monica Bryan to the Board of Directors,” said Mr. Kenroy Herbert, Chairman of the Anguilla Tourist Board. “She is a young, talented, grounded and learned individual, with more than twenty years’ experience navigating the field of hospitality; she will bring a unique perspective to our deliberations at the Board.”
Starting from the ground level, Ms. Bryan demonstrated strengths in customer service, a sharpened acumen for problem-solving and a nimble and innate ability to cultivate positive relationships. Now serving as the Housekeeping Manager of Belmond Cap Juluca, Ms. Bryan brings insight and refreshed experience and a new lens to round out the directorship of the Anguilla Tourist Board. Her commitment to one of Anguilla’s flagship properties and the advancement of Anguilla’s tourism product, in general, has allowed her to gather a host of experiences and accolades that are second only to her mentors in the field.
Ms. Bryan places her love for the country and the expression of Anguilla’s culture above all else. Having recently served as part of the Belmond Task Force assigned to Belmond Le Manoir aux’ Saison, Oxfordshire, England, she had the unique opportunity to show the Belmond Brand what makes Anguilla so special. “I am honoured to accept this important position as a member of the ATB’s Board of Directors,” said Ms. Bryan. “Anguilla is so much more than beautiful beaches, excellent cuisine and luxurious hotels. What has always made us special is our people,” she continued.
In her new role with the Anguilla Tourist Board, she hopes to ensure that the people of Anguilla are rightfully positioned at the centre of the island’s tourism product.
